Countywide Community Cleanups

I Love A Clean San Diego is the go-to resource for beach and inland cleanups across San Diego County. Our volunteers pickup an average of 1 million pounds of trash and debris every two years! These cleanups are a great way to take action in your community, as well as get community service hours while helping your local environment. You can also get event details on our Calendar of Events!

Oktoberfest Cleanup with Karl Strauss – sponsored by ecoATM

Saturday, October 19 from 10AM-12PM

Meet at Tasting Room, 5985 Santa Fe Street, San Diego 92109

Celebrate Oktoberfest with I Love A Clean San Diego and Karl Strauss! On October 19th we will come together to host a cleanup along the Rose Canyon bike path and San Clemente Canyon, followed by a fun mixer at the new Karl Strauss tasting room! Volunteers of all ages are invited to participate, and those who are 21 years of age or older will receive a voucher good for one free beer immediately following the cleanup. Storm Drain Stenciling Day

Saturday, Nov 16th from 9AM – 12PM

Polaris Breen Park, 11103 Polaris Drive, San Diego 92126

Join ILACSD and Think Blue San Diego as we take to the streets of Mira Mesa to stencil a pollution prevention message above the storm drains! Volunteers will be split into small groups to paint “No dumping—goes to ocean” and a Spanish translation above storm drain inlets. Volunteers should wear comfortable closed toed shoes and clothing they don’t mind getting dirty, as they will be working with paint. Parent supervision required for volunteers under the age of 16.
